The Rapture Of The Church Explained.

The Rapture

Introduction.

While many writers have written about the Rapture based on their own opinion, we will provide you with a Scriptural study on the topic.

We hope that you will learn something that will further your knowledge as you continue your study on this very important topic.

What Is The Rapture?

The word Rapture, 'although not found in the Bible,' is an eschatological belief that the Lord Jesus Christ will return for believers who are both dead and alive.                                     1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

The Bible describes the Rapture of the church as the "gathering together unto God." 2 Thessalonians 2:1

Jesus will appear in the air, there will be the sound of the trumpet and believers from every corners of the earth will ascend to meet Him. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Mark 13:27

Therefore everyone who are alive will be transformed in the blink of an eye, and also those who are dead will not continue to sleep but will also be changed and caught up to meet the LORD in the air. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Three Different Views On The Rapture.

Pre Tribulation Rapture.

The Church will not be here to experience the seven year nightmare and torment of the Tribulation. God did not appointed for His wrath to be poured out on believers, because they have committed their lives to His service. Revelation 3:10

The wrath of God will be poured out upon all unrepentant and unregenerate people. Matthew 24:21

Close to the Tribulation period the Church will be taken away from the earth in an event the Bible called The Rapture. This event is literally the process of transporting believers to heaven to be with the LORD before the Tribulation preiod. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;  2 Thessalonians 2:8-12;  Matthew 24:29-3;  Revelation 21.

While we believe wholeheartedly in this teaching and have Scriptural references to support it; there are yet those who holds to the following beliefs...

Mid Tribulation Rapture.

Persons who believe in this view, are of the belief that the Rapture will take place in the middle of The Tribulation period.

They believe that the Rapture will take place just before The Great Tribulation i.e. the last three and a half years of the 7 year tribulation.

The problem with this view is the belief that believers will go through the first period of the wrath of God and then be rescued from the second period.

This is basically saying that the church will suffer some of God's wrath but not in its entirety. This is contrary to the Scriptures, because God has never allowed the righteous to suffer with the wicked.

The Post Tribulation Rapture.

Persons who believe in a post tribulation rapture, are of the view that the rapture will take place after the 7 year tribulation period.

What this means is that believers will be here on earth to experience the great tribulation which the bible said only unbelievers will experience. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 Revelation 3:10 Revelation 6:16-17

How To Make It In The Rapture.

Do God's Will

If we fail to do the will of GOD, we have absolutely no lot nor path in the rapture or the Kingdom of God. Our unbelief is what the enemy uses to discourage us from walking in the will of GOD.

We need to keep ourselves away from the spirits of unbelief and rebellion. They are evil spirits that have been released in these end times to blind us spiritually and make us lose our way.

So let us keep ourselves unspotted from powers and spiritual wickedness of this world. James 1:27 Ephesians 6:12

You Need Oil In Your Lamp For The Rapture.

The oil in this Scripture (Matthew 25:1-4is referring to the Holy Ghost. We need the power of the Holy Ghost to be among other believers in the rapture. The Holy Ghost is our visa to the kingdom of God and without the visa, we will not be caught up in the rapture.

The oil gives the lamp wick energy so there might be light so that the virgins could see where they were going in the dark. The Holy Ghost gives us power (Acts 1:8) after HE come upon us.

We Must Endure Persecution And Sin Not To Make It In The Rapture.

Nobody wants to suffer for the name of the LORD Jesus anymore. Nobody are willing to take pains in sharing the gospel with unbelievers anymore. Everybody is busy getting the things that we will soon leave behind.

The truth is; If you are not going through some form of tribulation, you might be living in sin and this will stop you from being in the rapture.

Satan does not attack those who are already subjected to him, so if you are having it easy, check to see if you are really in the will of God. Romans 8:18

Be On Fire For God.

To be hot is to be totally sold out for the things of GOD. When you are hot you are full of the Holy Ghost and on fire for GOD.

To be hot for God is to humble yourself under His mighty hand and make yourself available to be used by Him. Revelation 3:15-16

You Must Do What God Told You To Do.

If you are disobedient to the voice and commands of the LORD and you go your own way and do your own thing, you are setting up yourself to be excluded from the rapture. Luke 6:46

Signs Of The End Time

The Lord gave Daniel two signs to look for in Daniel 12:4 which signify that the time of the rapture and the end of the world is near. The signs are as follows:

  1. Many Shall Run To And Fro.                          Many persons have traveled back and forth nearing the start of the coronavirus in 2019. In fact the International Civil Aviation Organization recorded that annual airplane travel amounted to a total of 3 billion people. Also there are over 1.4 billion cars going to and fro around the world.
  2. Knowledge Shall Be Increased                   Recent history has shown that knowledge has increased significantly. There are over 25,000 Universities and research institutions in the world today. The world is way more educated than it has ever been.

Another end time prophesy which we are seeing today is the "falling away" this can be found in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3.

This is the age when many persons who called themselves Christians are sinning against God so much, that you cannot tell the difference between the saved and the unsaved.

Attendance at churches have also decreased tremendously since the last decade. These are signs that the Bible says we should expect when the rapture and the end is near and we are seeing all these in our time.

Let us not be getting ready to meet our Lord, but rather let us be ready and waiting for His return.

Conclusion.

The rapture of the believers is a very blessed event that every faithful servant of God should be looking forward to.

When this time comes, we will forever be in the presence of the Lord and permanently freed from sin.
