Ronaldo Stephens

RONALDO STEPHENS

Who Is Ronaldo Rodcliffe Stephens?

Ronaldo Stephens is the son of Rodcliffe and Nakeisha Stephens. The Lord blessed the Stephens' family with two beautiful girls within the first three years of our marriage. The names of the girls are Dejanae Stephens the first born and Davia Stephens second.

We had always wanted a son, so when Nakeisha (my wife) was conceived with our second child, i.e. Davia Stephens; we prayed hard for a little baby boy.  However, when the ultrasound was done, (close to the time of birth), the doctor told her that it was another girl.

We refused to believe the result from the ultrasound and decided that we would continue to pray and wait until the child was born to see what the Lord's will was. To our surprise, it was another baby girl, just like the ultrasound result said.

This happened in November 2014 and her older sister Dejanae Stephens was born February 2013.

Fast-forward  to the year 2019, my wife Nakeisha Henry-Stephens had two miscarriages. This period was very challenging as we were really looking forward to meeting our baby boy.

However, when the year 2020 stepped in, the Lord opened her womb again and blessed her with the fifth pregnancy. That time, it was a miracle from heaven, because neither of us knew the precise moment it happened to this day.

Throughout this pregnancy, whenever someone saw Nakeisha's tummy, they would say, "that's a boy." Whenever we heard this it would bring a smile to both of our faces, because we have been praying and hoping for a son over the years.

Nakeisha did two ultrasounds during this pregnancy and both results confirmed that it was a boy. Hooray!!!!! Celebration started because we could have told before the ultrasound results that we were having a baby boy.

Nakeisha gave birth to Ronaldo Stephens on the 11th day of December 2020. When I got the news at home, I couldn't wait to rush down to the hospital, but visiting hour was up and curfew was about to start due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The next day however, I was the first visitor at the hospital. When I saw Ronaldo and held him in my arms, I was the happiest man alive. Don't get me wrong, I love my daughters very much, I hold them dare to my heart, but there is something different about the father son relationship.

It's now June 2021 and Ronaldo Stephens is all of 6 months old. I could have shared many pictures of him on all my social media accounts from he was born until now, but I wanted the first time I introduced him to the world to be special so I waited 6 months for this special moment.

Dejanae and Davia love their brother like cooked food, they don't even want to hear him cry for a second. It is just amazing how he occupies his own space in our home and draws attention to himself when he needs it.

As you can see, he is a very handsome baby boy with a very broad smile that can brighten up anyone's gloomy day. Smile!

The Bible says that God works upon the good desires of our hearts if we delight ourselves in Him. (Psalm 37:4) This He surely did when He blessed Nakeisha and I with Dejanae, Davia and Ronaldo Stephens.

These are three lovely children that we love dearly and we seek God continuously for wisdom, knowledge and understanding to grow them up in the way that they should go so that when they are old, they won't depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
