5 Ways To Stay Rooted In Christ.

How to be rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus. RodcliffeBibleNet

How do I become rooted in Christ?

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7

Our focus is on 5 ways to stay rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus our LORD.

#1 Spend Time With God.

The more time that you spend in the word of God and in praying to Him, the more rooted in Christ you become.

One of the keys to growing strong roots in any relationship is spending quality time together.

When I used to spend more time doing the things of this world and less time with God and doing the will of God, I became less grounded in Christ.

But the moment that I started to spend quality time with God, I started to become more rooted in Christ and established in His love. Ephesians 3:17

#2 To Be Rooted In Christ You Need To Surrender Completely To God.

What does the Bible say about being rooted in Christ? RodcliffeBibleNet

God wants all of you.

For you to become deeply rooted in Christ you will have to surrender to God totally.

There might be areas that you haven't completely surrendered to God,  and areas where the devil have been dominating for many years.

You have to surrender those areas of your life completely to God, because they will prevent you from becoming rooted in Christ.

Many times in my walk with the LORD, I had to make the decision of: it's either this thing and reject God; or God and reject this thing.

You will have many of these kinds of decisions to make, and the choice that you make will determine whether or not you will become rooted in Christ.

#3 Study God's Word.

Your roots in Christ become dry and weak when you do not spend quality time reading, studying and meditating in the word of God.

Your ministry will not be effective if you are not studying the Scriptures to show yourself approved unto God.

The word of God is your spiritual food, and just as you would feed the physical man for strength, the spiritual man also needs to be fed and strengthen with the word of God.

#4 Fasting And Prayer.

Fasting and Prayer are like two sisters who work very well together.

When you need your prayers answered, and need your roots in Christ to go deeper, you need to fast and pray to God.

The Christians who don't fast will not last very long, because while rice and chicken feed the physical man, you need Fasting and prayer, and of course the word of God to feed the spiritual man.

Where I am today in my walk with the LORD, is as a result of many long hours invested in the word of God.

This is very important to become rooted in Christ, and without Biblical Knowledge, you cannot live and speak about the life of Jesus and the gospel effectively.

#5 Be Humble.

Humility is very important to become rooted in Christ and living the Christian life.

One of the main reasons why we need to humble ourselves is because we depend on God daily for the very breath of life.

Humility means that you should repent of your sins daily and cry out to God for help.

It is impossible to be Rooted In Christ without humility and submitting yourself completely to God.

When you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, then He will exalt you in due time. 1 Peter 5:6

Conclusion.

These are 5 very important ways to become rooted in Christ:

  1. You must spend time with God.
  2. You must surrender completely to God.
  3. You must study the word of God.
  4. You must fast and pray.
  5. You must be humble.

Apply these 5 lessons to get your roots deeper in the LORD Jesus Christ, and live a purpose filled life that brings God glory every day.

Be blessed.
