The Ark of Noah Was Very Important For The Continuation Of The Human Race And Every Other Creature That Are Alive Today.

The Ark Of Noah In The Bible.

Why Was The Ark Of Noah Necessary?

The ark of Noah was important because God wanted to save Noah and his family from dying in the flood. God also wanted the animal population to continue after the flood. Therefore God told Noah to build an ark.

Genesis 6: 13,14

God gave Noah specific instructions for the ark, as it pertained to its length, breadth and height. The length was to be three hundred cubits, the breadth fifty cubits and its height thirty cubits.

Genesis 6:15

These instructions were necessary for the functions that the ark of Noah was to carry out.

God was displeased with the corruption and wickedness of mankind upon the earth so He told Noah that there would be a great flood. This flood would be upon the land for forty days and forty nights.

The purpose of the flood was to destroy all flesh wherein is the breath of life from under heaven and kill everything that was in the earth.

(Genesis 6:17)

Noah And His Family Was Saved.

Noah however found favor in the sight of God and God established a covenant with him. The LORD told Noah that he and his family should go in the ark and not be destroyed with everybody else.

When we walk before the LORD with a heart full of obedience and humility, He make a way of escape for us, just like the ark of Noah was a way of escape for him and his family.

We too can be forgiven of our sins and be saved from eternal damnation if we are faithful and committed to the things of the LORD. The fear of the LORD, faithfulness and righteousness were found in Noah, so God communicated to him exactly what He was about to do.

Psalm 25:14

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and He will shew them His covenant.

The Unbelievers Could Not Enter The Ark Of Noah.

It is likely that Noah was preaching to the people and warning them to repent of their sins because there was going to be a great flood that would destroy every living from the earth.

Repent! Repent! Repent! I can just imagine him preaching, but just like today, everybody were too busy with the things of this world and didn't  pay any attention to his cry.

Many might even laughed and mocked and called him mad; until that great day came when everybody started crying for help, but at this point it was too late.

If we want to be in the number when the saints go marching in, we need to hear the words of God's servant and repent and turn to Him with all of our heart.

Those people did not make it in the ark of Noah because they did not believe, and unbelief is sin, Let us be careful and work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, just in case we think we are somewhere with God when the truth is we are no where.

We can learn a lesson from the story of the ark of Noah about living in sin and have no desire to repent and live for the LORD. The consequence of such lifestyle is death because the wages of sin is death.

Let us be obedient to the LORD and follow righteousness and holiness without which no man shall see God. Amen.
