There is Nothing as Important as Teaching and Encouraging Young Adults with Lessons From the Bible.

Bible Lesson For Young Adult

Why is God Targeting Young Adults?

1st John 2:14

I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the world.

This Bible lesson for young adults is not just another blog post from RodcliffeBibleNet. There are some valuable advices and lessons to be learned.

God is seeking out young adults, because they are strong and can get more done for the Lord than those who are elders. The work of the Lord needs energy to get it done, and this is why young people are so important to Him.

There is a Ministry for You.

There is a ministry for every young man and every young woman. Your ministry might not be preaching or singing or even teaching. Those are the first things that come to mind whenever I talk to young adults about ministry.

However, there are many things that you can do that brings "glory to God". These include but are not limited to:

  • Feeding the poor
  • Providing shelter for the homeless
  • Visiting and caring for the sick
  • Sharing the gospel with those in prison
  • Fasting and praying for others

These are just a few of the many different ways we can bring glory to the Almighty by way of ministry.

The purpose of a ministry is to give glory to God. That is the main reason for a ministry; it must bring "glory to the Almighty". If someone says that they have a ministry and it does not glorify God, that ministry wasn't established by God in the first place.

Whenever we are doing something for the Lord and others are not being blessed by it, we should stop and pray and ask God to show us where we have gone wrong.

After we have done this, we should wait for an answer from the Lord before we proceed because ministry is all about giving glory to God and pleasing Him not ourselves.

Why Most Young Adults are Not in the Will of God?

John 5:30

I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

The most important lesson that young adults need to learn in this verse is that we are not our own, we belong to God. And since we belong to God we need to understand that it is not about what we want but what God wants.

One of the main reasons why most young adults are not in the will of God is because they want to do their own thing. Young people want to live their lives on their own terms, they don't want to live a life that is disciplined by Scripture.

However, if we back up a bit, and take a look at this Bible verse carefully, we would understand that those were the words of Jesus Christ communicating with God his Father.

Jesus said what he wanted was not as important as what God wanted. He wanted us to learn and understand that no matter how important our will or interests are, God's will comes first.

God is more important than your career because He is the one who gives you the strength to accomplish the career. What young adults need to do is forget about their interest and pay attention God's interest.

I know that the world today is full of many things that did not exist say twenty years back. And this transformation is having a negative impact on the young people of this era.

Now that we have things like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, there is less focus on the things of God. These gadgets the internet and increased technology can be very distracting when it comes to focusing on doing God's will.

It is sad to even say this; but many people, not just young adults, but even those who are senior citizens are being led astray because of smart devices and access to the internet.

How Can Young Adults Find Their Way Back to God?

James 4:8

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Every young person need to understand that it is your responsibility to seek the Lord for yourself. You cannot depend upon your mother or your grand mother's relationship with God.

The desire and need to get back to God must first be in you. You have to want God, because nobody should force you to serve the Lord. When that happen, the person normally hang around a bit and then disappear. Why? Because there was not genuine repentance and conviction in the first place.

To genuinely come back to God, you need to be sorry for your sins and return to God with a heart of repentance. If you have not repented and stop sinning, you haven't truly made up your mind to serve the Lord.

God will draw near to you once you decide to put away your iniquity and abominations from you and humble yourself under His mighty hand.

There is hope for our young adults because with God all things are possible. The only thing you need to do is repent of your sins and give God a chance in your life by humbling yourself and let God take control.
