Being fully committed to GOD is like the pig who gave himself completely so the family might have dinner. The hen only need to lay an egg.

How do I stay committed to GOD?

To Be Totally Committed To GOD, We Must:

  • daily repent of our sins.
  • regularly fellowship with other believers.
  • regularly examine our Christian life and faith.
  • regularly study the Word of GOD.
  • daily seek GOD with the whole heart.

Repenting daily shows that you are committed to GOD.

We cannot be fully committed to GOD if we are not daily repenting of our sins.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We all need cleansing from every impurities and the sin that so easily besets us. We first need to confess our sins if we really need pardon.

Revelation 22:14

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

We should repent of the sins that we have committed and make sure to not continue sinning.

Seeking the LORD daily shows you are committed to GOD.

1 Chronicles 28:9

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts.

If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

Believers who are committed to GOD will seek HIM daily and study HIS Word. When we set our hearts on the LORD HE will gradually reveal HIMSELF to us.

Keep fellowshipping with other believers.

When we are committed to GOD we must also be committed to the church and other believers.

Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Just by going to the house of the LORD and seeing other believers having a crave for more of GOD will help you in seeking GOD more earnestly.

Stay strong in your faith.

Every Believer Should Expect Difficult Times.

Matthew 10:22

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

The struggles you face as a Christian are painful and devastating, but be strong and don't give in. Because remember "no pain, no gain."

The truth is that we must struggle and go through trials as believers. Because if we don't struggle and go through something, we need to double check to see if we are still committed to GOD.

Keep studying the Word.

Studying the Word of GOD cannot be emphasized enough. Because GOD'S Word id the foundation upon which our faith, trust and SPIRITUAL GROWTH lies.

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If we are going to be committed to GOD and competent in the teaching and preaching of the Word, we need to study the Scriptures everyday.

At first it will be hard and you will face distractions, but for you to be fully committed to GOD, you need to make it a habit.

Once you get in the habit of regularly studying the Word of GOD, you will grow into liking it and the it will become alive to you.

Keep examining your Christian life and faith.

We need to regularly check up on ourselves to ensure that we are in line with the will of GOD. Just living our lives without caring whether or not it pleases GOD cannot be good.

2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

We regularly check up on the oil level and other fluids in our cars, we must also regularly check up on our relationships with the LORD.
