Discipleship Lessons

Why Are Discipleship Lessons So Important To A Christian Believer?

Understanding Discipleship lessons

Disciple primarily refers to a dedicated follower of Jesus.  In the ancient world a disciple is a follower or adherent of a teacher. It is somewhat different from being a student in the modern sense.

Christianity and Discipleship

Discipleship lessons is the heartbeat of the Christian life, discipleship lessons also provide the fuel for discipleship.

Some persons might ask: Why lessons on discipleship matters in relation to discipleship or being a disciple of Jesus?. The truth is, to truly live for the Lord and serve Him effectively, we need to learn the lessons from His word.

You might say, I just want to be a disciple.

My response would be, how can you be a disciple of Jesus without knowledge of His Word?

It is the statement of a disciple to say "I am a Christian". However, with that statement you are declearing that you believe Jesus Christ is God and there is no other God but Him. (John 1:1) And only through Him can you be saved by believing in His death, burial and resurrection (1 Cor. 15:1-10).

What Disciples Believe Will Affect Them

What discipleship lessons can I depend on when severe trials come? When trials and difficulty come, they reveal our strength or our weakness.

If we are not firm in what we believe,  then we will be consumed by every trials that comes our direction. This is why we should be taught the Word of God and practice it's teachings in our every day life.

When we understand that solid biblical discipleship lessons come from God’s Word, we live to please Jesus and not man. We should root our lives in sound biblical discipleship lessons for the purpose of weathering trials and temptations.

What we believe as Christians can either bless us or condemn us. Only when disciples exercise total faith and belief in God and have a high view of the lessons of His Word can we overcome the trials of this world.

It starts with sound discipleship lessons and a hunger for more of God's Word. Otherwise, we will be tossed by every wind of doctrine and every opinion of  the television evangelists.

Know God for yourself:

2nd Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Discipleship Lessons Forms Our Christian Character.

Discipleship lessons is the engine that drives Christians and their ministry in the church and also strengthens and spreads the Gospel of Jesus.

Biblical lessons drive discipleship, and provide the fuel that the Christians need to overcome the trials of this world. Discipleship lessons shape the church’s mission of seeking the lost and winning souls for the kingdom of God.

Discipleship lessons strengthened all ministry in the church and encourages perseverance and help us to exercise faith in our Lord Jesus.

I hope something that you have read would have encouraged you to gain more knowledge of God's Word as genuine disciple.

God bless you.
