In all things, give God thanks...
Whether you are a Christian or not, you should give thanks unto God for the fact that you made it on the wake up list this morning. There are many persons who would love to be here today but sadly, their lives have come to an end.
Sometimes we are more focused on the negative side of life, but if we should stop for a moment and reflect upon everything that we have been through, we would find that there are more reasons to give thanks unto God than we could imagine.
Think about it, God didn't wake you up this morning to be mean and complain about everything that are not going the way you want them to go. If that were the only reason for God to wake you up, He probably wouldn't even bother.
1st Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
I want to encourage you to take some time to look at your life as the greatest blessing/gift that you could ever have. And take some time to imagine one very special thing that you could spend the rest of your precious life doing.
Something that would both bring value to humanity, and gives you the motivation to get out of bed in the mornings.
This would be a great way to stay positive and give thanks unto God no matter what your circumstances are.
The death, burial and resurrection of Christ was the work that God did at Calvary.
The work of God is so complete that God said in Mark 16:16: he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. The work of God is very significant and we should take the time to give Him thanks for it each day.
A lot of us are reluctant to heed the gospel so that we can understand the importance of truly serving the Lord and walking before Him with a perfect heart.
When we give thanks unto God for the great work He did at Calvary, we are showing gratitude and appreciation for the awesomeness of that work.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomsoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
While some of us have heard the gospel, and believed on it to the point where we repent of our sins and got baptized in His name, some of us are still reluctant to even believe that there is a God. That's sad.
Let us not forget the importance of God taking sin upon Himself, so that we could be saved. We were so messed up, that not even the shedding of the blood of animals could cleansed us from our sins.
We are so blessed that the blood of Jesus Christ was pure enough to cleanse us from our sins. Because without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sins. (Hebrews 9:22.)
So I hope you can now begin to understand the importance of giving thanks unto God. There should never be any second thought when it comes to praising and worshipping God, because He is worthy of all our praises and thanksgiving.
For the LORD is great, and greatly to to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.
There are many gods, but there is only one GOD ALMIGHTY. He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, He is the Creator of everything that move both in and out of water. He is the Creator of the whole human race.
Let us practice to give God thanks. Let us not be sparing with our gratefulness, and may we always remember if it weren't for God, we wouldn't even exist.
You might think that everything that you achieved, were all by your own effort, strength and commitment.
The truth is; if God did not wake you up each morning and helped you to achieve your goal; you couldn't even move from point a, to point b.
Whatever your situation is right now, you still have a lot to give thanks unto God for.
Your life is the most precious thing that God gave to you, so no matter what problems you are facing, remember, once there is life, there is hope.
And remember in all things give God thanks.
