Believers with godly character are faithful to the LORD in spite of all the firey darts that the enemy is throwing.

Believers with godly character are faithful to the LORD

The importance of godly character.

Many persons asked; "why didn't GOD just create us with a godly character?" Of course GOD could have done that because with GOD all things are possible.

However, if GOD had not created us with a personal character to make personal choices we would be like robots. Because there are good and bad choices and GOD gave us freedom of choice to choose between the two. (good and evil)

Ephesians 2:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Since we are the product of HIS handy work, and are made in HIS image and HIS likeness, we are capable of making choices like our Maker.

The most important aspect of our character development is the heart.

Since GOD does not see as man sees, HE is not looking for godly character on the outside features, HE is looking at our hearts.

1 Samuel 16:7

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

We cannot fool GOD by how well we decorate the outer man, because GOD isn't looking at that. God looks for godly character, and HE looks at the heart (thoughts) to find it.

When the Bible refers to the word "heart", it is dealing with our inmost thoughts, attitudes and motives. Therefore, everything that goes on within our minds are known by GOD. Because GOD knows everything. (omniscient)

We should seek to entertain pure thoughts and rebuke every evil and impure thinking in JESUS name.

Jeremiah 17:10

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Many persons think that whatsoever goes on in their head is their business and no one knows if they don't speak it out loud.

However, GOD searches the hearts of every individual upon the earth, and HE will reward everybody according to their deeds.

God can change our hearts, but we must let HIM.

GOD will not force us to do what HE wants us to do, but if we surrender to HIM and seek a change of heart, HE will work upon the good desires of our heart.

Ezekiel 36:26-27

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

For GOD to change our hearts, we must yield our will completely to HIM.  HE will empower us through the power of the HOLY GHOST to live by the principles of Scripture.

God bless you.
