See that none repay evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 1 Thessalonians 5:15
I know that what they have done to you was painful and heart broken, but as a child of God your cannot repay evil for evil.
You might feel like the best thing to do is to justify yourself by breaking back somebody's heart, and inflicting back pain on the person.
It might seem like justice to you to repay someone with evil for the evil they done you, but to God it is an abomination.
Jesus want us to be an example of the believers by following in His footsteps and His teachings in the Bible.
When someone done you wrong and you feel like repaying them with evil, remember that God will be more pleased if you forgive them.
God sent His only begotten Son to die for us, even while we were sinning against Him He loved us so much that He sacrificed His very life to bring about our salvation.
In another Scripture, Jesus said if a man hit you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. Matthew 5:39
One of the main reasons why we should not render evil for evil is because it will rob us of our blessings.
Your prayers will not be effective when you hate those who hate you and fight against those who fights against you.
Let your light shine for Christ by showing love to the haters and praying for those who the devil is using to fight against you.
The battles and the warfare that you are dealing with are not carnal, you are fighting a spiritual battle.
That is why you should not return the evil that others do to you, because they are not doing it by themselves, the devil is using them because they make themselves available to be used by him.
The act of repaying evil for evil will rob you of your blessings and put a curse upon your life.
God will not pour His blessings into the life of someone who is constantly mingling in evil, wickedness and iniquity.
Let us shame the devil and please God by doing good to those who have done you wrong.
Be the kind of person who will glory in your tribulation and maintain your integrity in Him at all times.
