Spiritual transformation is a change of lifestyle. When we come to the LORD, we should not remain the same. There must be a change, there must be spiritual transformation.
When we first come to the LORD, we were sinful and spiritually weak. Sin was the ruler of our lives and we were powerless to trials and temptations.
If we come to the LORD and remain the same, then we are not growing spiritually. We grow and transform spiritually when we feast upon the word of GOD and communicate with Him through prayer.
Sometimes we think God is too hard on us and we worry over the struggles in our lives, but GOD loves us too much to leave us in our mess. God wants to see us living and walking in the light of His Word and growing in His will.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Since it is with the mind that we serve the LORD, and the mind is spiritual, our thought patterns have got to change and we cannot be the same as when we were unbelievers. We must be transformed by the renewing of the mind, which is interpreted as spiritual transformation.
Spiritual transformation commence at the altar when we repent of our sins. It continues with our baptism and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. However, it does not stop there.
We need to continuously seek the face of the LORD because He is the one who is responsible for our spiritual transformation and development. Bible studies will increase our knowledge in the LORD and change the way we think.
We all need the Word of GOD for instruction and knowledge of how to function in this world because every form of education we can think of is in the Bible.
We become transformed by keeping our mind stayed on Christ and by worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.
Fasting plays an important role in our spiritual development because there are some things in our lives that won't be transformed unless we fast and pray. Fasting will break yokes and undo heavy burdens caused by circumstances of life.
Therefore, spiritual transformation is the change from our old evil ways to God's righteousness and peace. A transformed life is something that every believer should experience because God gave His Son for our salvation.
