Youth bible lesson is what gives youth a passion to serve the Lord. We need more young people to do the works of the Lord. The scripture said, young men, I call upon you because you are strong.
When the Bible talk about strong in this text, It is not referring to spiritual strength, but rather physically. To be spiritually strong however, we have to constantly feast upon the Word of the Lord.
Youth need biblical knowledge to enable them to remain committed, dedicated and completely sold out to the Lord. The lesson that will have the most impact on our youth is not physics or mathematics, it is giving them biblical wisdom from the Word of God.
We insist that our young people
Everybody has to deals with temptation (1 Corinthians 10:12, 13). Even our Lord was not immune to the devil’s trials (Matthew 4:3-11).
When teaching youth bible lesson on temptation to young people, you should build their faith in the fact that we all struggle with temptation.
But you should never allow them to believe that just because we all struggle with temptation that it makes it right to become obedient to it. It is no sin to be tempted; but, if we give in to the temptation; then we fall into sin.
Youth bible lesson on temptation and sin is taught in James 1:13-15. Here is what It says: Temptation does not come from God. Temptation comes when we are drawn away with our own lusts. This means that everyone will be tempted in different ways at different times. What is not a struggle for me can be a cause of sin to someone else.
Therefore, in our youth bible lesson, we should teach young people to be sensitive to others and not participate in activities that could cause them or others to sin. The bible lesson go on further to say that when lust has been allowed to mature, it brings sin and ultimately death.
Let your youth bible lesson class also know that we don’t have to be slaves to the temptations of the devil. When we are focusing our lives and minds around the Word of God then we will be better abled to fight the spiritual battle of temptation.
What does it mean to follow Christ? That is the question on which the New Testament is focused on answering. Study the life of Christ and His followers, but don’t stop there in learning how to live for the Lord.
Encourage your youth bible lesson class to deepen their own knowledge and understanding of the life of Christ by doing their own research. Also they should study to show themselves approved unto God.
